However, all that pales into insignificance when compared to the performance of the skiers on the hill. I've just watched all the video of the skiers from today and I've rarely been so impressed. Genuine improvements from every skier on the hill today.
Jack Morrison was on fire. What a change in performance this season. Well done.
Hamish Alexander looks like he's been dreaming about skiing. He was really showing us what he can do today.
Too many skiers deserve their own special mention today, so I can't mention them all. However, the young skiers were definitely amongst the most impressive. Just ask Keera's Mum what it's like to stand at the top of the hill and face the gates. Those red and blue poles really do come at you quickly when hurtling down the slope. Bear in mind Olivia is only half the height of the gates and it puts into perspective.
I'm sure you'll all agree it was a great day and all of the skiers benefited from being able to train on a long slalom course, set on snow.
The conditions were challenging with cross ruts across the gates. We managed to set 3 sets of gates with double combinations in each of the full Sl gate courses. All of the skiers handled them very well and I appreciate the help of the skiers in preparing the courses. There was lots of slipping and digging to do.
Lastly, a special Thank You to all the Gordon Skiers. It was a pleasure to see everyone having fun, but more importantly setting an excellent example of how a racer should behave and perform when visiting another slope.
Im looking forward to seeing you all back at Alford next Sunday.

PS, We may even plan another visit to Braehead.
