Training Report November 23rd

What a fantastic training day for the Gordon Skier's today. I'm not sure if the sunshine made a difference, but everyone was beaming.

We had a bit of a change of theme today, with timed runs for most racers. I must apologise to Development Squad 2, as it's my fault most of you didn't get a timed run. I promise you'll all get times next week.

The competition in the Performance Squads was red hot, with Flyan Ryan Pye taking the fastest time in PS 2 with 7.78s. He was the only one in PS2 to break 8s. Vicky was the fastest girl with 8.17.

Kieran Troup had an amazing 6.81s to have the fastest racers time of the day, with Rachel Brown being the fastest girl with a time of 7.21s.

The big news this week though was coach Jamie's time. He almost melted the mat with a blistering 6.46 s.

Many thanks to everyone for the efforts today. It was great to see so many smiles and the racing really had everyone buzzing.

We'll keep the timing going for the next 2 weeks with the Xmas races on final week. Turn up with sharp wits and edges next week as the timed runs are being used to decide who will be crowned the club champ.

We will publish everyone's times on the blog today too, so you can chart your progress. Remember racers, don't focus too much on your friend's times. It's your own numbers that count and the coaches are tracking them, to make sure they're heading in the right direction.

Can't wait till next week, GW,

As ever, photos on the Gordon Skiers Racing Facebook page.  If I have missed anyone out, my apologies!

Paul
