There were some great performances from Gordon Skiers at the 2014 SSSA Indoor Skier/Boarder Cross Race at Braehead on Thursday. Gordon Skiers were representing a number of local schools with strong contingents in the Alford, Banchory and Robert Gordons teams.
Best individual results were seen in the girls race with Beth Whatford, Tabby Allan and Rachel Brown taking 3rd, 4th and 5th places respectively. There were also strong performances from Morven Douglas in 10th, Amelia Allan in 13th just edging out Hannah Morrison in 14th. Kathleen Ray and Lauren Liversidge came home 17th and 18th just ahead of Rhiannon Taylor.
For the boys Andrew Simpson did well in a strong field to come 21st, just ahead of Callum Duff in 24th and Hamish Alexander in 31st.
In the team event it was Alford Academy that lead the way for the local schools coming in 5th equal along with Robert Gordons A. Banchory Academy A were in 8th and Banchory Academy B in 11th.
