Training Report Sunday Oct 5th.

Evening All,

Many Thanks for the efforts and commitment at today's training.

A slight change around for the coaches today and the feedback from all was excellent. The physical training was great fun and the highlight, for me, was finishing with a good old fashioned game of British Bulldogs.

On skis I was working with Performance Squad 2. We finished with a game of Cat and Mouse down a 12 gate suicide course. I saw some great skiing with really quick feet and it reminded me of how much fun skiing really is. Flyan Ryan was on form, but pushed a little too hard on his run, taking a wee tumble out of the gates. He was up and on his feet, ready for the team races, in no time.

Team Races

Yet again another AMAZING performance from Gary W's team with 6 wins out of 6. (Not competitive at all)

We finished today with a challenge race between the coaches and both Performance Squads. The coaches were on the blue course and put up a brave fight against the PS on the red. Thanks to Harry Stephen for stepping in to the coaches team, but the coaches were pipped this week.

It's extra press-up for the coaches for losing and we're all on extra training for next time. Remember no Alford training until November 9'th, but I hope to see lots of you in Edinburgh on the 2'nd of November for the Bairns and Lassies Race.

Particular thanks go to Blues and Datawax for bringing there goodies along and especial thanks to the Datawax guys for their ski preparation demonstrations.

Now we know what makes Gary happy, watching James fall over!!

  1. Hello Everyone. Just a short note to say how much I and Ryan are enjoying training this season. It is always worth asking the coaches for feedback about training and fitness for yourself or your children. Please remember to give feedback yourselves. This helps to ensure we are all involved, striving for improvement and engagement to develop the club and trainees.
