Suzanne Taylor, A Message From Walter

Walter has asked us to post this message on his behalf:-

"Dear Friends,

Rhiannon and I were both extremely disappointed to discover after the service on Monday that so many of you came along to participate in the celebration of Suzanne’s life only to be left out on the corridor and hence missed the service. You may be one of those people and if not then you may know some of those that missed out. On hindsight I should have reserved more seats for friends but given the number of people that let me know that they couldn’t make it due to holidays I thought we would be able to seat you all. As it happened we were overwhelmed and the hotel counted around 300 of you when we had anticipated around 100. Hindsight is a great thing isn’t it?

I just needed to ask myself what Suzanne may have done in those circumstances and think that she would have wanted to make it up to those concerned in some way so I am therefore sending you a copy of the Order of Service, a copy of the transcript of what was said by Bob Johnston at the service and also a copy of the eulogy from her brother John including some tributes and thoughts from some of her closest friends that were read out at the service by Luke Patience, Suzanne’s nephew. Sorry if Luke did not have time to read out all of these but again there were so many that it was impossible to do this.

Please forward this on to any others that you know of who were unable to get into the service proper. Think that included a lot of Rhiannon’s young friends so please forward this to those concerned.

I am also aiming this at the many friends that were unable to come along on Monday down to being away on holiday or simply living too far away to make it. So please forward this to friends that you know of who either could not make it or had to remain outside in the corridor.

Unfortunately I am unable to email you a copy of the slide show and accompanying music that was played at the service but may try to put the slides on line for friends to view and if I (or most likely someone else) can handle the technology behind that. I will send you a link.

Please also see below a copy of the press release thanking you all for the fantastic donations at the door of the service. Most people no longer buy newspapers so thought I would send you all a copy of what I put in.

Thanks again for your incredible support.

Kind regards

Walter  xx"

(ALFORD/BUCKIE)

Walter and Rhiannon along with Nan and family wish to convey their heartfelt thanks to all who have shown love and support and for the kind expressions of sympathy received on the sad loss of Suzanne, a dearly loved wife, mum, daughter and sister. They would also wish to thank her GP in Alford and the staff at ARI for their professionalism and kindness throughout. Also neighbours Pam, Eleanor, Sandra and Brian for being there when they needed them most. Sincere thanks to Bob Johnstone for leading such a personal fitting tribute and to Robert Buchan for his words at the graveside. Grateful thanks to Dave and Mary of Joe Dawson Funeral Directors for their care and compassion with the arrangements and Cullen Bay Hotel for their catering and hospitality. The family were overwhelmed by the number of friends who joined them at Cullen Bay Hotel and wish to thank you for the generous donations totalling over £1300 for Macmillan. Suzanne was a very special person and was taken from us all too soon, but the memories we hold and the love for her will remain in our hearts forever. She touched so many of us with her love and compassion and in so doing was an example to us all of how love, and not the rod, is the way.
