The club enjoyed a great weekend at Snow Factor in sunny Glasgow with 15 racers competing in the GBR Indoor Series on Saturday and the Scottish Indoor Alpine Champs on Sunday. A big thank you to all racers and parents for making this such a successful and enjoyable weekend for all with some great results.
I would like to say a special thanks to Gary and James who once again
provided fantastic race support for our racers and I know that they were very
impressed by the standard of racing from all the children including those with
less experience of racing. We all enjoyed a meal out together on Saturday
evening and despite being full of noodles, rice and prawn crackers some even
managed a ride on the dodgems. Everyone (I think) survived the weekend without
any mishaps. I won’t mention Andrew’s ski boots that his mum left in the car
park and the mystery intruder at the Campanille Hotel.
Following the weekend’s
success, Gary and I are in discussions with Snow Factor with regard to running
a club training/fun weekend later this year.
