Racer Ready Magazine Subscription Offer

Racer Ready have sent us the following email:-

It is that time of the year again when we are making sure that all the subscriptions are up to date so that people get the next issue of the magazine!

If you could pass the following info around your members this would be a HUGE help for us!

START
Racer Ready is the leading magazine in the UK that focuses on the competitive side of winter sport – if it is on snow or ice and against the clock, we report on it! Our core sports that we report on are Alpine Skiing, Skier Cross, Cross Country, Bobsleigh, Boardercross and telemark racing but we do include speed skiing and a few others along the way!

The magazine is available by subscription with race reports on the website (www.racer-ready.co.uk) and pictures from the events we get to on www.racer-ready.ifp3.com.

We have arranged a number of great deals for people resubscribing at the moment and the full details of these will be announced shortly.

ENDS

If you can send this around to your membership, we can do the same deal as last year: Subscription costs £20, the club keeps £5 and sends us the name, address, email and £15 per subscription taken and we post out the magazine direct to the addressee!

Many thanks for the help and speak soon!

Scottish Dry Slope Championships, August 23rd and 24th 2014.

Snowsport Scotland are running the Scottish Dry Slope Championships on 23rd & 24th August, the event is open to all ages (new format for this year) and it would be great to have a good turnout from the club for the weekend. If you are new to the racing and not sure whether your child would manage then feel free to ask and the coaches will be able to advise.

Full details on the race can be found at http://www.snowsportscotland.org/competitions-calendar .

If you are planning on going please email James Paxton so we can try and arrange a coach to be present. Closing date for entries is 15th August.

Performance Squad

Those of you at the AGM may remember that the idea of creating a Performance Squad was put forward.  Plans for this are now coming to fruition and Gary has sent out an email to you all about this and full details can also be found here on the blog.

If you wish to register for the Performance Squad Trials you will need to do so via the Performance Squad page by completing the form at the bottom of the page and submitting one for each child that wishes to enter for the trials.

This is the first stage of our move to having registration for club events online.  This will make life much easier for committee members by cutting down on the avalanche of emails we currently receive!  So please, no emails to Gary, just register online.
